Submission and independent examination
The Replacement LDP has been the subject of Examination by an independent Planning Inspector.
The representations and responses to the Deposit LDP consultation exercise were endorsed by Cabinet on 19/07/22 and Full Council on 19/10/22 and the submission of the Plan for Examination was approved.
The Council submitted the Deposit LDP for examination on 25/10/22 to Welsh Government and Planning and Environment Decisions Wales, under section 64(1) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
On 13 March 2024, Bridgend County Borough Council adopted the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP) 2018-2033 for Bridgend County Borough.

The Planning and Environment Decisions Wales will now arrange for an Examination of the Plan to be held in early 2023 by an independent Planning Inspector. This will be organised by a Programme Officer, under instruction from the appointed Inspector(s).
