Family Information Service
The Family Information Service (FIS) provides free, impartial information and advice on a variety of services for children and young people (from birth to 25 years old), parents/families and professionals.
We can provide information, assistance and advice on the following:
- Early Years and Childcare Provisions
- Childcare Funding
- Children and Young Peoples Activities
- Information And Signposting on Careers in Childcare
- Childcare Training Opportunities
- Family Support Organisations
- Financial Support for Families
- Signposting to Local and National Voluntary, Statutory and private organisations that support Children and Young People.

Come and join the ‘Toddle Waddle’ 4-week programme in Bridgend County Borough!
For children aged 18 months - 3 years and their parents/guardian, the programme includes fun physical activities for those who are taking their first steps and to help prepare for the Porthcawl Toddler Dash Race on Sunday 7 July.
- Ynysawdre Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre: Every Thursday, starting 6 June 2024, 12.30pm - 1.30pm
- Ogmore Valley Life Centre: Every Friday, starting 7 June 2024, 10.30am -11.30am

Family Active Zone - Family Trails
Put on your walking boots and take your family on a mini adventure and explore many of our green spaces here in Bridgend.
Each of these routes has been carefully chosen and designed with families in mind meaning they are fully inclusive and suitable for everyone from prams to great grandparents.
There is nothing to stop you becoming a fearless explorer.
