Family Information Service

The Family Information Service (FIS) provides free, impartial information and advice on a variety of services for children and young people (from birth to 25 years old), parents/families and professionals.

We can provide information, assistance and advice on the following:

  • Early Years and Childcare Provisions
  • Childcare Funding
  • Children and Young Peoples Activities
  • Information And Signposting on Careers in Childcare
  • Childcare Training Opportunities
  • Family Support Organisations
  • Financial Support for Families
  • Signposting to Local and National Voluntary, Statutory and private organisations that support Children and Young People.

Come and join the ‘Toddle Waddle’ 4-week programme in Bridgend County Borough!

For children aged 18 months - 3 years and their parents/guardian, the programme includes fun physical activities for those who are taking their first steps and to help prepare for the Porthcawl Toddler Dash Race on Sunday 7 July.

  • Ynysawdre Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre: Every Thursday, starting 6 June 2024, 12.30pm - 1.30pm
  • Ogmore Valley Life Centre: Every Friday, starting 7 June 2024, 10.30am -11.30am
