Air quality continues to improve on Park Street

Nitrogen dioxide levels on Park Street in Bridgend town centre are continuing to fall following actions which have resulted in significant improvements in local air quality.

New plan agreed to deal with invasive species

New plans have been developed by Bridgend County Borough Council outlining how the authority intends to prevent invasive plants and wildlife from damaging local habitats, buildings, roads and other infrastructure.

Pupils get creative with sustainable play this Recycle Week

Pupils at Garth Primary School in Maesteg learnt all about sustainability through play this week, in a creative workshop held by the council’s waste and management provider Plan B Solutions to mark UK Recycle Week. (14-20 October).

Time to talk council budget 2025

As in previous years, we need to identify significant cuts, currently almost £20m. We need to achieve this by reducing our spending and/or increasing our income, to ensure we’re able to set a balanced budget in February 2025.
