Special guardianship orders
7. Our support services
We provide many services to help support special guardians, and birth parents. This includes:
- financial support
- home visits
- advice, support and guidance either over the phone, email or via a visit
- bi-monthly support groups with other special guardians
- a fostering training calendar which addresses issues such as paediatric basic first aid, child protection and attachment and secure base
- placement support to help develop skills to manage difficult or challenging behaviours which a child who has experienced trauma can present with
- a listening ear for birth parents
- communication with other organisations on your behalf
