Recycling and Waste during the festive period.
There are some changes to recycling and waste collections over the festive holiday period:
-
Collections will take place as normal on Monday 23 December and Tuesday 24 December (Christmas Eve).
-
Collections due to take place on Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day) and Thursday 26 December (Boxing Day) will be collected two days later than usual.
-
Collections will take place as normal on Monday 30 December and Tuesday 31 December (New Year's Eve).
-
Collections due to take place on Wednesday 1 January (New Year's Day) will be collected one day later than usual.
-
Residents can put out an extra waste bag for their first refuse collection after Boxing Day.
- All Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but open as normal on all other days.
-
Plan B will have additional recycling vehicles out for collection, including extra vehicles to collect cardboard. If your materials aren’t collected with your recycling, please leave out for collection, and it will be collected later. These extra vehicles may look similar to refuse vehicles, but don’t worry, the materials will still be recycled.
