Post 16 Education and Training

We're fully committed to making sure that we have the right opportunities available for young people as they progress through and beyond school.

That means having the right choices and courses to suit everyone’s needs whether you are looking for academic or vocational courses or apprenticeship and traineeship programmes there will be something in our Bridgend offer for you.

We fully supports the Welsh Government’s policy on a Youth Guarantee that aims to have a suitable offer available to all young people from the age of 16 so that they can progress their education and learning and be well prepared for work when that time arrives.

The council is working closely with secondary schools, Bridgend College, training providers and Careers Wales to develop that offer and publicise it through this common prospectus.
