Children and Young People Achievement Awards 2024

Bridgend Corporate Parenting Board's 'Children and Young People Achievement Awards 2024' celebrate children and young people aged 5 – 21 years old who are either looked after by Bridgend County Borough Council or are care leavers from the council.

If you care for or provide support for a care experienced child/young person, or a care leaver in Bridgend County Borough, you nominate them for an achievement award.

There is an additional award ‘Helping Hand Award’ for professionals to nominate an adult who has made an outstanding contribution to a young person/s – these nominations will be shortlisted by the Youth Forum leaving a select group of nominees to be awarded. Children and young people can also nominate adults in a separate survey.

The award ceremonies are taking place on Monday 28 October 2024 at the following venues:

  • Awards for 5 - 14 year olds at Steam Academy, Pencoed.
  • Awards for 15yrs + at Evergreen Hall, Bridgend
