Youth Emotional Health
We provide emotional health, wellbeing and life skills support for young people, aged 11 to 25 living in the county of Bridgend.
The team comprises of Youth Life Skills Workers and Psychology Support Workers.
Youth Life skills Workers
Youth Life skills Workers provide one to one support and where appropriate group work.
- Managing emotions appropriately e.g. provide tools and techniques to manage anxiety and anger
- Confidence/Self Esteem Building
- Improving resilience
- Improving low Mood
- Travel Training
- Healthy lifestyles
- Motivation
- Healthy relationships
- Goal setting
Psychology Support Workers
Psychology Support Workers provide one to one support.
Provide more in-depth psychological support around mental health.
Provide tailored psychological interventions. Interventions are CBT informed.
- Improving low mood
- Managing emotions appropriately eg anxiety and anger- exploring triggers, strategies, challenging negative thoughts
- Improving confidence and self esteem
- Improving resilience
- Motivation
We also refer to other services if required and signpost to other appropriate services.
