Half term is here - providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy family time and get involved in activities available across the county borough!
The benefits of being outside, especially in nature, are endless – ranging from reducing anxiety to boosting self-esteem and the county borough offers an array of outdoor opportunities to explore.
Awen Cultural Trust’s Bryngarw Country Park, is hosting bird box building activities, as well as offering the usual play parks in its beautiful setting.

There are also organised activities by the Cwm Taf Nature Network, ranging from a Winter Bug Hunt to the Falconry UK Display.
Some time out at our local theatres also promises to be a wellbeing boost! Awen’s Bridgend Youth Theatre -an award-winning theatre company for young people aged from 7 to 18 – is performing ‘Rent’ at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl, on 23 to 25 February. Enjoy an evening of entertainment with local rising talent!
Halo centres across the county borough are also hosting a variety of activities throughout the half term holidays, prioritising health and fitness for families!
