Active travel route from Ynysawdre is underway

With help from Welsh Government funding for active travel routes across Wales, Bridgend County Borough Council will soon begin work on a new active travel route from Ynysawdre (seen in red on the map). This route will link two points on the existing active travel network, as well as provide the start of a proposed future route, continuing to the east of the River Ogmore.

September 29 marked the formal opening of the Ty Pen y Bont community project, an initiative offering plentiful opportunities for all those involved. The launch included Senedd members Huw Irranca-Davies and Sarah Murphy, as well as Deputy Leader, Councillor Jane Gebbie, who officially opened the garden.

The Cabinet of Bridgend County Borough Council has approved the ‘Relationship Building Together’ (RBT) initiative – a project largely evaluating how services using the Trauma Recovery Model (TRM) can benefit those children affected by trauma.
